Objective
The Swine Auction Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) needed a complete branding and collateral package for its annual fundraising events. They hired Elevantics to create event logos, themed designs, promotional materials, and various marketing assets. Because the auction supports scholarships for 4H students, the committee required branding that both elevated the event experience and attracted strong donor engagement.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is one of the largest annual events in Texas, drawing more than two million visitors over its three-week run each March. Attendees experience championship rodeo competitions, major concerts, livestock exhibitions, and a massive carnival midway. Moreover, the Swine Auction serves as a critical fundraising event that directly supports student scholarship programs.
Elevantics has partnered with the HLSR Swine Auction Committee for more than five years. During this time, we have developed cohesive branding for multiple events leading up to the auction, including gala nights, committee functions, and auction-day experiences. As a result, the committee now presents consistent, professional, and memorable marketing materials each year.

Design
For the 2023 auction, the committee commissioned Elevantics to develop a Cuban-themed brand titled “Havana Swine Time.” We created multiple concepts inspired by classic Havana culture, vibrant colors, and vintage Cuban aesthetics. Ultimately, the committee selected a design that captured the energy and excitement of the theme. This branding anchored all event collateral—including invitations, signage, brochures, banners, apparel, and digital promotions.


Gala Event
The themed gala showcased the “Havana Swine Time” identity across every touchpoint. Guests enjoyed a cigar-rolling station, Cuban music performed by a live band, professional dancers, and presentations from local celebrities. Additionally, all environmentals—from step-and-repeat backdrops to table decor—reflected the cohesive branding Elevantics produced. The result was an immersive experience that delighted attendees and reinforced the committee’s fundraising mission.








Auction Breakfast
On auction day, the committee hosts a breakfast to kick off the main event. This gathering featured a live band, themed cocktails, and a photo wall that highlighted the Cuban aesthetic. Furthermore, our branding appeared throughout the space, from printed collateral to directional signage, helping create a polished and unified atmosphere for guests and donors.
